Great shoes, great prices, great service.

I have heard that there are some shoe lovers who enjoy buying women’s shoes. They should enjoy this announcement from Heels.com about on sale shoes:
Everybody loves a good sale. Here are some of the shoe brands on sale at Heels.com.
The jury is still out.

A few months ago, I registered a bunch of generic domain names, created a few more random domain names with the Web 2.0 name generator, and hired my 9-year-old daughter to blog about the names.
What have I learned so far?

3-D puzzles and playing the piano are my outlets.

Crazy hectic day today. A lot going on with Heels.com. All good stuff. I’ll share more when I’m able. But hectic = stressful.
After a long stressful day, I like to relax and let off steam. I raked with my wife for about an hour today. That was good. I often… [click here to read more]

Death, taxes, and uncertain patent laws.

The February 2008 issue of the ABA Journal has a very good article about patent law entitled “Reinventing Patent Law.” In the article, the author, Steve Seidenberg, notes that all three branches of the US government are changing (or have changed) patent laws in ways that negatively impact the rights of patent owners. Here’s one… [click here to read more]

I have lots of sources for website stats:
- Apache log files, periodically processed (via cron jobs) with Urchin
- Lijit search stats
- Google Analytics
- FeedBurner feed and site stats
- Google AdSense revenue
Raw log files are fun, but with so much junk traffic out there (click fraud… [click here to read more]
White hat domainers are not black hat cybersquatters.

Domains Are Valuable? D’oh!
I’ve been on the Internet since 1984, watched the Internet evolve from text-based protocols to web-based protocols in the 1990s, and completely missed the generic domain name gold rush that has made many millionaire domainers.
Well, almost completely.… [click here to read more]

Blogging for shoes.
Greetings,
As I mentioned on my blog last fall <http://www.erikjheels.com/?p=963>, I have teamed up with e-commerce expert Eric McCoy to develop my heels.com domain name (formerly used for my patent and trademark law firm) into a designer shoe store for women. And now we’re looking for a good shoe blogger. We lost one of our… [click here to read more]
With the name Heels, Erik Heels was destined to be either a podiatrist or a shoe salesman.
This is the story of how the www.heels.com morphed from a law firm website into a shoe store. And how Erik J. Heels went along for the ride.
On 08/02/95 Erik Heels registered the unusual “Heels” surname as the heels.com domain name and… [click here to read more]
